Post by ssl »

Hi
When you register in Google the url of your forum in HTTP do you arrive on the forum in HTTPS?

Reason: Splitted because out of context.

Sorry for my English…I do my best!

HTTP to HTTPS for phpBB - split

Post by ssl »

Sure!
I use another method, in .htaccess

After this:

#RewriteRule .* - [E=HTTP_AUTHORIZATION:%{HTTP:Authorization},L]

Add this:

# Redirect to HTTPS
RewriteCond %{HTTPS} off
RewriteRule .* https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [R=301,L]

Sorry for my English…I do my best!

Okay, I see. “Basically” it is the same as of the tutorial, I would advice you to use my suggestion though. Try it. ;)
